BREAKING NEWS:ABUJA COURT DISMISSES SUIT CHALLENGING THE QUALIFICATION OF PROF CHUKWUMA CHARLES SOLUDO AS ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNOR-ELECT

In a landmark ruling earlier today, December 1, 2021, in Abuja Federal High Court, a suit seeking the disqualification of Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo as Anambra State Governor-elect, was dismissed by His Lordship, Hon Justice Taiwo Taiwo for lack of merit.
The Hon Justice Taiwo Taiwo described the matter as frivolous and ruled as follows:
“The matter was frivolous. Lacked merit. Unnecessary waste of time of court and the defendants. Issues of falsification are criminal and must be proven beyond reasonable doubts. The issues raised do not amount to falsity. All Nigerians, not only politicians, must come together to deepen our democracy. This case of the plaintiffs must fail and I pronounce it so!”
The foregoing were the words of Hon Justice Taiwo Taiwo in dismissing the matter and awarding a cost of N2 million naira against the plaintiffs for wasting the court’s time and engaging in such frivolities.
