The Social Democratic Party (SDP) Delta state Chairman, Oke Idawene and his cohorts has been suspended for anti party activities and distorting of the tribunal filed by the Delta State Governorship candidate of SDP, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON.
This dissolution was contained in a letter signed by SDP National Secretary, Dr. Olu Agunloye, who disclosed that the regime of the former party state chairman, Mr. Oke Idawene has been dissolved for anti party activities.
However, a fresh State Exco headed by Mrs. Ikule Esther has been appointed on 2nd May, 2023 to oversee the affairs of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the Delta State with immediate effect.
According to the letter, those newly appointed State Caretaker Committees are as follows;
1. MRS. ESTHER IKULE – Çhairman
2. MR. TONY EMERONANJO ONYISI – Vice Chairman (North)
3. SOLOMON PERE DAUBRI – Vice Chairman (South)
4. MIKE DUGBO – Vice Chairman (Central)
5. ENEBRAYE HANSON KENBIGHA – State Secretary
6. OGHENEKARO BLESSING IGHOGBOJA – State Organising Secretary
7. CLEMENT OGHOJE – State Youth Leader
8. MRS. GBANAKUMO ESEIMOKUMO – State Woman Speaker
8. CHIEF GABRIEL IBEDE – State Treasurer
9. BARR. AFOGBA PETER – State Legal Adviser
10. TIMI EDEMA ELO (Mrs) – State Welfare Secretary
11. MATTHEW OGISI – State Labour & Civil Society Secretary
To this end, the tenure of the committee is expected to be 90 days from the date of the issuance of the letter as specified by the SDP National Secretary onbehalf of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
