The popular Nigeria artist, Divine Ikubor popularly known as Rema has recently enters the Guinness World Record with his Hit Track ‘Calm Down’, the world’s most famous Nigerian singer, has entered the Guinness World Book of Records.
The Benin-born musician accomplished the feat with his global hit song “Calm Down,” which became the first No. 1 hit on The Official MENA Chart (the world’s first regional streaming chart)
It was gathered that the Guinness World Records recently acknowledged the singer for accomplishing the historic feat in a statement on its website. Rema was honoured for having the first number one hit on the world’s first regional streaming chart and the first-ever official chart in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), according to the statement.
However, Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ debuted at No. 1 when the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) launched the MENA Chart on November 29, 2022. The song topped the charts for more than two months.
It was noted that presently, Rema joins Femi Kuti and Wizkid as Nigerian musicians who have achieved World Guinness World Records.
