Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has advised men against beating their wives and relationship partners.
He noted that no matter how much a woman angered her man, such a man should restrain himself and avoid hitting their spouses.
The father-of-five made this known on Saturday, in a video he shared on his Instagram page.
“No matter how she take vex you, just hold yourself. Wahala dey every relationship o. That’s the truth. Forget the pictures that you see on Instagram and all those things,” he said in Pidgin.
Edochie added, “No matter what, you do not hit a woman. It’s not a show of strength, it’s a show of weakness.”
Though Edochie did not mention any reference, his statement comes days after Nollywood actress, Chacha Eke-Faani announced the crash of her nine-year marriage stating that she didn’t want to die.
In the announcement titled, ‘Leave now or leave as a corpse’, Chacha also apologised to her fans for “living a lie” in her marriage.
Her announcement caused a stir as bipolar disorder and rumoured domestic violence had once marred the actress’ marriage.
Her husband, Austin Faani, however, has debunked the domestic violence allegations, stating that he never hit his wife.
