A former minister of state for petroleum, Timipre Sylva has been declared winner of the Bayelsa State All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primary election.
According to the result declared by Major Gen. AD Jubrin, Sylva, a former governor of the state, scored 52,061 votes to benching other contenders.
While David Lyon manage to poll 1,582 votes behind Great Joshua MacIver, who collected 2,078 votes.
Also Professor Ongoebi Etebu scored 1277 votes, Mrs Ikisima Ogbomade 584 and Festus Daumiebi 557.
