The Headquarters Joint Task Force (North Central) Operation Savannah Shield (OPSS) has dismissed as false and misleading online reports alleging that troops neglected duty and engaged in extortion in the Chikanda area of Kwara State.

In a statement, the command clarified that it has no deployment in Yashikara community, where the alleged incident occurred, thereby debunking claims that troops abandoned their post.
