The Federal Government has launched zero-emission electric transit services at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, to cut carbon emissions and advance renewable energy adoption in the aviation sector. The initiative, implemented by FAAN in partnership with Possible Electric Mobility and Zeut Energies, introduces electric buses and sedans for passenger and staff mobility.

FAAN Board Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo, SAN, and FAAN MD/CEO Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku for driving sustainable airport operations. Mrs. Kuku highlighted ongoing green initiatives, including energy-efficient lighting, solar installations, and waste recycling, as officials inspected the new electric vehicles.
