A total of 16 members of the House of Representatives on Tuesday defected from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) during plenary in the Green Chamber, marking a significant political shift within the lower legislative body.

The defectors, who cut across multiple states and geopolitical zones, announced their decision on the floor of the House, citing political realignment and constituency interests as key factors behind their move.
