I have both tourism and educational excursion in mind during my plan to establish the WildBees Sanctuary in Cross River State of Nigeria.
Amb. Agim Godwin Apple, narrated that the Bee Sanctuary he established in Utanga in Obanliku Local Government Area is a sure way to challenge the declining situation of the African Wild Bees.
We invite communities in the entire Nigeria to observe bees in action, fostering public support for critical pollinators while bolstering local biodiversity.
Amb. Agim, said he is so happy with the achievement which he counted as one of his more vibrant signature projects during his services as SSA to Governor of Cross River State on Honey Bee Project.
He said that the Bee Sanctuary is programmed to includes educational talks, classes, wildlife walks, citizen science initiatives and more.
Engr. Agim Godwin Apple, lament and assured the people that soon with the government assistance, The Bee Sanctuary will engage thousands of people, inspiring environmental stewardship while educating on the importance of bees.
25% of the Bee Sanctuary are to be placed in close proximity to urban farms or community food gardens where they’ll help increase crop yield and support the agricultural systems in Cross River State.
