…warn mischief makers to repent of their evil ways
The Senate President , Senator Godswill Akpabio has today, Wednesday dismiss a widespread news alleging that security agencies took over control of the National Assembly to prevent a possible impeachment of the President of the Senate.
It was gathered that, the Senate Akpabio was presiding over plenary when his attention was drawn to the speculations flying on the social media.
Senator Akpabio described the news as proper fake as it is fabricated by mischief makers.
The Senate President went further to urge members of the public to disregard such news and warned all those circulating deliberate falsehood to refrain from such acts.
Senator Akpabio however, explained that peace and harmony has been the watchword in which the Senate dwells so there is no consideration for an impeachment by any section of the parliarment.
And the Matter has been referred to the Senates Committee on Public Services for Further investigation and legislative action.
