Air Peace has announced a temporary disruption to its scheduled Lagos–London Gatwick flight after a routine post-boarding technical check detected a minor aircraft fault.
According to the airline, the issue was identified after passengers had boarded, prompting the aircraft to be immediately withdrawn from service in line with safety and global aviation standards.
Passengers were safely disembarked while engineers addressed the situation.
The airline stated that the safety and wellbeing of passengers and crew remain its top priority, noting that swift preventive action was necessary despite the inconvenience caused.
Air Peace added that affected passengers were informed promptly and provided with hotel accommodation and other support services.
A replacement aircraft is expected from London, with passengers scheduled to depart this morning.
The airline also appreciated passengers for their patience, understanding, and cooperation during the disruption.
