The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has confirmed the arrest of seven suspects involved in unlawful dealings in petroleum products.
According to a terse statement on the NSCDC X handle, the operation, carried out by the Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad (CG’s SIS), also led to the sealing of five suspected illegal oil dumps and the impounding of several trucks reportedly laden with petroleum products of questionable origin.
The statement reads: “Continuous Fight Against Illegal Dealings in Petroleum Products: NSCDC Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad Arrests Seven Suspects, Seals Five Suspected Illegal Oil Dumps, and Impounds Several Trucks Laden with Suspected Petroleum Products.”
