
Presently, Nigeria and Israel have taken steps to bolster bilateral relations.

This was when Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Ojukwu, held a meeting in Abuja, with her Israeli counterpart, Sharren Miriam Haskel-Harpaz.
A statement by her Media Aide, Magnus Eze indicated that the outcome yielded concrete agreements across multiple strategic sectors, emphasizing the need for global collaboration in addressing insecurity and counter-terrorism, intelligence sharing and capacity building.
Israel expressed readiness to significantly deepen trade with Nigeria, noting that the current trade volume of $250 million projects the potential for growth.
They also agreed on setting up a joint commission that will actively, drive and enhance the bilateral ties, in broader areas including trade, agriculture, health, education, technology and entertainment/film production.
Bianca Ojukwu and Sharren Miriam acknowledged that with the proposed joint commission, marks a long-term, structured approach to realizing the full potential of Nigeria-Israel cooperation in addressing both national priorities and global challenges.
