
The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has successfully concluded a 21-day Vocational Training and Empowerment Programme on Spices Production and Packaging in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, empowering 50 Nigerian youths with practical skills for self-employment and enterprise creation.
The training, organized in partnership with TEMAQUE Nigeria Limited, focused on hands-on learning, entrepreneurship, and value addition in spice processing and packaging—aligning with NCDMB’s commitment to sustainable local content development and youth empowerment across Nigeria.

During the graduation ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of TEMAQUE Nigeria Limited, Mr. Matthew Itsekure, expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, and the Board’s management for granting his firm the opportunity to implement the impactful programme.

Mr. Itsekure commended the participants for their commitment and discipline throughout the training period, noting that the skills acquired would contribute significantly to job creation and productivity within their communities.
The event was marked by excitement and gratitude from participants who praised the facilitators for their openness and dedication in imparting knowledge. They also extended appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Engr. Felix Ogbe, and the Zonal Coordinator, Akwa Ibom/Cross River Zone, Mrs. Bertha Chukwuemeka-Alaribe, for making the initiative possible.
Representing the Zonal Coordinator at the event, Mr. Anamofiok Udoakpan commended the consultant for the successful execution of the programme and for the excellent welfare provided to the trainees. He urged the graduates to make good use of the skills acquired and revealed that follow-up assessments would be conducted to track their post-training progress.
As part of the empowerment initiative, each participant received a starter pack, certificate of participation, stipend, and take-home spice products, symbolizing NCDMB’s unwavering commitment to youth development and entrepreneurship promotion within Nigeria’s local content ecosystem.
