The Permanent Secretary, Office of the State Auditor-General, Mr. Moshood Adewale Adewuyi, who declared open the workshop held at the State Treasury Office Resource Centre, Central Business District, Alausa-Ikeja, said the training was borne out of the need for officers in the office to sharpen their skills in information technology and information system to meet up with world best practices, such that they would be at par with their counterparts globally.

Adewuyi also enjoined the participants to indulge in self-development, particularly in technical skills towards taking certification examinations for their career progression.

According to him, the era of movement of large files from one place to another has become a thing of the past with the emergence of computer technology, saying “Since the world has embraced information technology, it is expedient for officials of the State to follow the tide by adapting to the use of computer system to enhance their service delivery”, Adewuyi said.

Mr. Olumuyiwa Olugbile, the lead facilitator from Yuma Consult and Associates, advised the participants to grasp as much knowledge as possible from the lectures because the training has an inherent opportunity for global certification.
