The Lagos house of assembly has passed a total of N4.44 trillion as the state’s budget for 2026.
Chaired by Mudashiru Obasa, speaker of the house of assembly, the legislative chamber authorised the issuance and appropriation of the bill during plenary on Thursday.
This 2026 appropriation bill was presented by Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos, to the house of assembly on November 25, 2025.
From its presentation, the bill was committed to the committee on appropriation, with other standing committees of the house serving as sub-committees for the scrutiny of ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) under their respective purview.
