
Following a recent attack by bandits in some villages under Zuru emirate, which claimed thirty lives, kebbi state governor Nasir Idris has announced plans to enact a death penalty law or 25 years imprisonment to anyone caught providing information to bandits.
The decision aims at eradicating the menace in areas affected by banditry, cattle rustling and kidnapping.

The Governor made the announcement in Zuru while paying a condolence visit to Kebu and Tadurga communities in zuru emirate.
Governor Idris also advised people in the state especially elderstatesmen to refrain from politicizing insecurity in the state which he described as a set back to the fight against banditry and kidnapping in the state.
