Again, Delta MAN Summoned to Deepen Adoption of Mordern Technology to Boost Production

Manufacturers in Delta State have been called upon to deepen their adoption of modern technologies to boost production and competitiveness.

Speaking at the 39th Annual General Meeting of MAN in Asaba, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, represented by Mr. Jude Ochei, Director in the Ministry of Trade and Investment, stressed that digitalisation, green energy, and artificial intelligence are now reshaping global manufacturing.

He highlighted the state government’s initiatives to support industrial growth, including a N1 billion loan scheme in partnership with the Bank of Industry, and a forthcoming bill on industrial safety to protect lives and investments.

In response, MAN President Mr. Francis Otunba urged manufacturers to leverage digital innovation to improve efficiency and cut costs, while also calling on the Federal Government to discourage imports of goods already produced locally to reduce forex pressure and support Nigerian industries.
