
CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso has hosted the 35th International Islamic.

Liquidity Management Corporation (ILM) Governing Board Meeting in Abuja, marking the first time Nigeria has hosted the statutory gathering. Under Nigeria’s 2025 Chairmanship, the ILM achieved stronger sukuk issuances, wider investor participation, and enhanced liquidity tools for Islamic financial institutions.

As part of the programme, the CBN conducted a capacity-building workshop on Islamic Liquidity Management, boosting technical expertise in Nigeria’s non-interest banking sector, promoting knowledge exchange with leading Islamic finance jurisdictions, and reinforcing investor confidence in Shariah-compliant markets.
