The executive Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has applauded the Nigerian artist, Dotun Popoola’s on his briliant effort in producing such an “African Warrior” during exhibition.

An exhibition that took place on Saturday November 11, 2023 in Lagos.

This Sanwo-Olu considers as innovative transformation of discarded materials into a 10 feet sculpture depicting the divinity of sun, thunder, and lightning is a testament to our vibrant arts scene.

In his remarks he said, “Proud to support and showcase the talents of excellent Nigerians.

“This monumental sculpture not only celebrates our rich culture but also highlights Lagos as a hub of artistic innovation.

“Let’s continue investing in and promoting the arts for a more vibrant and culturally rich Lagos.”
