The Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Education District II, Mrs. Anike Adekanye has been awarded the Year 2025 ‘Elitist Woman of The Year’ for academic excellence at the 14th edition of the Professional Banquet and Leadership Award Ceremony, held recently at the Lagos Country Club, GRA, Ikeja.
The award presentation, which was organised by the Elitist Media, Publisher of Elitist Magazine, was aimed at recognising excellence in leadership and administration in society.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Publication, Rotarian (Prince) Afolabi Phillips noted that this year’s award-themed
: “Celebrating Leaders Extraordinaire” was designed to recognise and celebrate the awardees to inspire them to do more through encouragement.
He noted that Mrs. Anike Adekanye alongside other awardees, has created an indelible mark that cannot be forgotten in haste, adding that the celebration also marks the 15th Anniversary of the organisation.
Reacting, Mrs. Adekanye applauded the organisers for the initiative, adding that all her achievements could not have been possible without God. She also appreciated the State Government for allowing her to serve and contribute her quota to the development of education in the State.

I’d like to also thank Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and his team for giving me the platform to serve. I thank Elitist Media for seeing me worthy of this award and I do not take it for granted.
