Aburime made this disclosure at the monthly Congress of Correspondents’ Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists ( NUJ), Anambra Chapter, held in Awka.

Mr. Aburime expressed the hope that every assistance due to them will be looked into and subsequently convey to Mr Governor

The CPS made it known to them that what affects them also affects him, describing them as his brothers and professional colleagues whom he knows and connects with on a personal level.

He enjoined them to continue to support Governor Soludo’s administration through objective and balanced reportage of the Governor’s developmental strides in the state

The Press Secretary also enjoined them to imbibe the spirit of developmental journalism, which should serve as the foundation on how they write and present their news report for the greater good of the society.

Aburime said, “We have to be fair, honest and objective in our reportage and also balance how we report our stories.”

“We should also aviod sensational and deceptive headlines that does no one no good.” the CPS reiterated

He bemoaned the lack of editorial control, objectivity, and truth in most stories, which, he says can compromise a reporter’s integrity.

The Press Secretary thanked them immensely for their support and encouraged them not to relent on their efforts in publicising the enormous work Governor Soludo is doing in Anambra State

On his part, Mr. Ilozue Chuks, Chairman of the Correspondence Chapel, Anambra State, thanked the Press Secretary for his time and understanding of their concerns.

He said that the Anambra Journalist Correspondence Chapel is looking forward to meeting with Governor Soludo soonest.
