The NDDC conducts an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) on major road projects in Abia State.
The Assistant Chief Environmental Management Officer, Franklin Nkwogu, representing the Minister of Environment, Balarabe Lawal, noted that the exercise involved site inspections, environmental data gathering, and the collection of key information ahead of construction.
A resident of Abam, Mr John Kalu, appealed for the speedy execution of the projects, noting that the roads will improve access to markets, reduce travel time, and boost economic activities across four communities.
