The executive Governor of Abia state, Alex Otti has welcomed recently welcomed Ogechika Esther Nworgu and Onyinyechi Gift Mark, incredible female Para-Power Lifters from Abia State.
They qualified for the Olympics that will be hosted next year in Paris, following their outstanding performance at the Dubai Championship last month. They have also distinguished themselves as Abia Sports ambassadors in this category, demonstrating immense resilience and determination to excel despite their physical challenges. It is interesting to note that Onyinyechi Gift Mark is a current world record holder. I am truly proud of their representation of Nigeria on the international stage, and I encourage them to continue surpassing their limitations.
It was a joyous occasion, marked by the presence of the Deputy of the State Executive Council. They can be rest assured that them to make Nigeria and Abia State proud.
