Chelsea will host Manchester City on the opening weekend of the 2024/25 English Premier League (EPL) season.
The Premier League released the fixtures on Tuesday, with all 360 matches across 38 weeks listed.
Man City, the champions, will commence their title defence at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea and Enzo Maresca, the club’s new manager.
The two teams will kick off the long list of heavyweight clashes that EPL promises when they face off on August 18.
Manchester United, however, will play the first match of the season when they welcome Fulham to Old Trafford Stadium in a Friday night fixture on August 16.
The Red Devils endured their worst season in the modern EPL era last season, finishing in eighth position and only making Europe via their FA Cup victory.
Erik ten Hag, the club manager, was given another chance to revive the club’s fortune after the FA Cup victory despite rumours of his sack prior to the final showpiece.
Elsewhere, Liverpool will also begin life after Jurgen Klopp when Arne Slot’s side visits Ipswich, one of three newly promoted sides, while Arsenal, the runners-up last season, will host Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Emirates Stadium.
The opening week of the new EPL season will end with Wilfred Ndidi and Leicester City hosting Tottenham on their return to the top flight after a one-year absence due to relegation.
The 2024/2025 EPL season is expected to come to an end on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
