The former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, who is accompanied by his daughter, Fatima, has finally arrived the Federal High Court in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Report shows that they are set to face charges related to an alleged N2.7 billion fraud linked to the failed Nigerian Air project.
However, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is said to have filed six charges against the former minister, his daughter, and two others. The charges allege that Sirika unlawfully conferred advantages on certain entities in Abuja between April 2022 and March 2023.
Which the anti-graft agency, Sirika has accused him of misusing his authority by awarding a N1.3 billion consultancy contract for for the Nigerian Air Start-up to Tianero Nigeria Limited.
