The Lagos State government said it has uncovered another illegal apartment under the Osborne Bridge in Ikoyi.
Tokunbo Wahab, the state Commissioner for Environment and Water resources, disclosed this on Thursday in a post on X with videos.
He wrote, “Another illegal settlement was discovered under the Osborne Bridge, Ikoyi.
“Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps #LAGESCOfficial (KAI) commenced immediate clearance operation.”
Recall that Vanguard reported on Wednesday the discovery of 86 partitioned rooms beneath the Dolphin Estate Bridge in Ikoyi, Lagos Island.
The occupants were reportedly paying annual rent of N250,000.
The commissioner indicated that the under-bridge apartment consisted of 86 partitioned rooms, with sizes ranging from “10×10” to “12×10”.
