The Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade & Investment (MCCTI) attended the capacity building programme on product export to USA organised by Africa Import & Export Solutions Limited and Export and Sell USA in Partnership with the Ministry in Lagos recently themed: Export To Wealth.
Speaking at the event, the Commissioner stated that Lagos has a mandate to grow local production capacity to meet export needs through AfCFTA, and it is currently working on steps to encourage exporters to leverage the Agreement among other platforms for export.
She said with the effort by the State Government, MSMEs in the State are expected to be actively engaged in AfCFTA market and the training, organised by Africa Import and Export Solutions and Export and Sell USA, will further expose them to the processes, procedures and opportunities required, stating that is why we decided to partner in this programme.
