Report has shown that the Shepherd-in-charge of Celestial Church of Christ, Grace of Comfort Parish, Olagbaju Moris Gbade Fadehan, has been killed, allegedly by his assistant pastor identified as Evangelist Olalekan Ogundipe.
It was gathered that Fadehan was killed as he bowed his head on the church altar and prayed on Monday, at Obaloran Quarters, Omitoto Lane 2, Oke Ado, Ilode, Ile-Ife Osun State.
According to a source, Ogundipe allegedly hit Fadehan with the church bell. “He hit him with nails on his skull and ears and set him ablaze afterwards.” It was learnt that the incident happened a few days after Fadehan had reportedly threatened to relieve Ogundipe of his duties, following negative reports about the latter. Ogundipe was also said to have attacked other senior leaders of the church.
Meanwhile, the suspect has been handed over to police officers at Iloro Divisional Police Station, in Ile-Ife. Spokesperson for the Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, was yet to respond to enquiries at press time.
