Following the Edu Betta Fraud saga, President Tinubu in the quest to achieving his desire for Nigerians in order to ensure poverty allievation, employment and to let the poor breathe, the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Abisoye Coker-Odusote has being suggested for consideration by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a possible successor to Betta Edu, the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
It was from reports coming from the inside of the presidency that President Tinubu is actively looking into other candidates for the ministerial post in the wake of accusations of financial malfeasance surrounding Edu’s suspension.
However, one of President Tinubu’s political appointees, Engineer Abisoye Coker-Odusote, is reportedly one of the candidates recommended for the position, according to Daily Times.
There have been backlogs of requests for National Identity Numbers (NINs) amendments cleared under her competent leadership at NIMC.
And her experience as a well-respected and knowledgeable supporter of President Tinubu establishes her as a noteworthy contender for the role.
Given her background and allegiance to the President, Abisoye Coker-Odusote’s possible appointment is viewed as a calculated move.
