The executive Governor of Delta state, Sheriff Oborevwori has signed the Delta State 2024 Appropriation Bill into Law on Wednesday 20th December, 2023.
The 2024 appropriation law Gov. Oborevwori explained is very significant because it provides a foundation for sustainable delivery of the social economic part of the MORE agenda to the good people of Delta State.
However, the budget outlook has 44 percent and 56 percent for recurrent and capital expenditures respectively amounting to N724.9B and having the the 2024 budget showing a 12% decrease, compared to the 2023 total budget.
While the slight decrease is due to the fact we have planned the 2024 budget around fiscal discipline.
In his remarks he said, “We are committed to faithfully implementing the 2024 Budget.”
