Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, earlier today received Nigeria’s Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima who was in the state to commission an Electric Energy Meter Manufacturing Factory, by Advanced Energy Management Solution Ltd, AEMSL in Oraifite, Ekwusigo Council Area of Anambra State
The commissioning of the Energy meter production facility is expected to stimulate technological innovation and boost production of meters and ultimately reduce reliance on importation
The Vice President’s presence in the State to commission this facility also signals to investors that Anambra is open for business and that the government is committed to creating a conducive environment for investment, that will create new jobs and stimulate economic growth.
The VP’s visit is also expected to strengthens the very strong relationship between Anambra State and the federal government as well as foster better cooperation on issues of mutual interest, such as security, environment, education, and healthcare; a relationship that could also help Anambra State secure more federal funding for its programmes and initiatives.
During the visit, the Vice President also commissioned Ijele Fm radio station and flagged-off the third phase of Sir Emeka Offor foundation Housing Scheme, as well as witnessed the distribution of palliatives to widows’ cooperative society.
Vice President Shettima also used the occasion to applaud Governor Soludo for his numerous onging infrastructural development projects and his concerted efforts to attract industrialization to the State
In his vote of thanks, the Chairman of Chrome Group and Sir Emeka Offor foundation (SEOF), Sir (Dr) Emeka Offor, expressed his deep gratitude to the Vice President Shettima and Governor Soludo. He assured his guests that he would continue to contribute his best to nation-building
The occasion was attended by Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, Chief of Staff to Governor Soludo, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, National, State House Assemblies and House of Representatives members, among others.
