The Department of State Service (DSS) has finally arrested Kingsley Obiora, the deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Obiora, who is in charge of economics, has been in DSS custody for four nights, according to reports.
He is currently being interrogated by the security service over allegations of financial mismanagement under ousted CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele.
Recall that Emefiele has been in DSS custody since June 10, 2023, after his removal from office by President Bola Tinubu.
Even as two federal judges ordering his release, the SSS has persisted in finding new grounds to hold him, often filing fresh charges.
Obiora was believed to be targeted as a principal witness against his former boss.
