The Executive Governor of Enugu state has today at the Government House, with honour receives the Chief of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), UNICEF Nigeria, Dr Jane Bevan, who, together with her team, presented to a preliminary outline master plan for achieving the SDGs by 2030.

The UNICEF team commended the Gov. Mbah for placing Enugu State on the right track and highlighted core pillars and elements needed to achieve certain milestones in terms of water provision, proper sanitation and hygiene.

In his statement he expressed, “I thanked them for coming and appreciated the support of @UNICEF so far.

“Since inauguration, my administration declared a state of emergency on water provision. I promised Ndi Enugu that in 180 days from swearing-in, there will be regular water supply in our metropolis. We have 102 days left.

“I am pleased to inform you, my dear people of Enugu State, that with what we have on ground at the moment, we are going to beat that deadline.”
