Nigeria Looses Ex-Governor @80

Recent report has shown that, a former military governor of Kwara State, Group Captain Salaudeen Adebola Latinwo (Rtd) has passed away after a protracted illness.

It was gathered that the former military Governor reportedly passed away at the age 80 on Saturday, August 12 in the early hours of the morning in the United Kingdom (UK).

The retired group captain in the Nigerian Air Force, Latinwo was born on July 12th, 1943, and held the position of military governor of Kwara State during Major General Muhammadu Buhari’s military government from January 1984 to August 1985.

He was born in Offa, Latinwo was a pioneering group of officer cadets recruited into the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in 1963, working under Colonel Gerhard Kahtz, the first chief of air staff of the NAF, who was serving as the head of the German Air Force Assistance Group (GAFAG) while on secondment to the NAF.

In the meantime, retired Group Captain Salaudeen Adebola Latinwo, a former military administrator of the state, passed away. Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq expressed his condolences to the state’s residents, particularly the Offa community.
