Following the Delta State Election Petition Tribunal continues its sitting at Asaba headquarters during last week proceeding, APC witness, Barr Efe Duku, has urged the tribunal to declared the immediate past Deputy Senate President and APC Governorship Candidate APC Delta State, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege as the rightful winner of the gubernatorial election in Delta State.
At the Court, the proceedings last week commerced with an application from Ovie Omo-Agege and APC counsel Fagbemi SAN, and there was objection and arguments from PDP lawyer before the Tribunal stood down the proceedings for about two hours before reconvening, and deferred to sitting to 26th July to deliver on the application.
Omo-Agege and the APC called its star witness, Prince Efe Duku an engineer with a first class degree in law.
The witness,in his defence during cross examination PDP lawyers saluted him for a job well done
. Duku’s testimony lent credence to the obvious fact that the People’s Democratic Party and the PDP governorship candidate bypassed the use of BVAS in the accreditation process.
Adding, ” They were simply credited with outlandish and fictitious figures that did not correspond to the number of accredited voters.”
Duku’s furher, attestations definitely exposed clearly the fact that the governorship election results were manipulated and contrived by INEC officials to make Sheriff the winner, albeit fraudulently.
The onus is now on the Justices of the tribunal who owe it as a duty to themselves, Deltans, Nigerians and indeed God, to declare Ovie Omo-Agege the rightful winner of the March 18, 2023, gubernatorial election.
Noting,,as usual, we know that Okowa is putting tremendous pressure on the justices of the Tribunal hearing the petition challenging the declaration of Sheriff Oborevwori as the winner of the governorship election with his humongous bribes to maintain an illegal status quo.
He therefore, call on justices presiding over the Delta State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal to be resolute and remain faithful to their oath of office and allegiance by dispensing justice without fear or favour. We cannot afford to go back to ”
He added,”There is no doubt that the expected Delta Tribunal judgment will reveal the truth”
Meanwhile, On the electoral tribunal proceeding, the tribunal went directly to rulings; the first application to call more expert witnesses was denied since it was filed after the deadline.
The second application to call Inec officials to come and testify was likewise denied because the tribunal could not equate an advisory to come and testify in support of the APC.
The tribunal proceeding
