The Senate after the screening has today Thursday has confirmed the new service chiefs appointed by President Bola Tinubu namely; Major Gen. Christopher G. Musa (Chief of Defence Staff); Maj. Gen. Taoreed A. Lagbaja (Chief of Army Staff); Rear Admiral Emmanuel A. Ogalla (Chief of Naval Staff), and AVM Hassan B. Abubakar (Chief of Air Staff).
Following the screening excercisrle which involved a concise oral presentation of plans to tackle insecurity in the country through each of the portfolio they manage which they unveiled on the podium while providing answers to questions bordering on defence and other relevant issues.
Recalling a week ago that President Tinubu wrote a letter to the National Assembly to seek the confirmation of the service chiefs.
And this request, he affirmed, was based on Section 18(1) of the armed forces act. CAP A20 laws of the federation of Nigeria, 2004.
