The Supreme Court has today discharges and acquitted the former Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly (NASS), Senator Peter Nwaoboshi.
Nwaoboshi, who was accused of N805 million fraud which was to earn him seven years jail sentence for corruption over seven months.
However, the Senator has recently been freed by the Supreme Court in Abuja, after a lower court (Court of Appeal) upturned the conviction of Nwaoboshi.
At the end, the Supreme Court has finally discharged and acquitted the Oracle and termed his conviction by the appellant Court as perverse, unconstitutional and abuse of human rights of the appellant.
