The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has recently plan a mop-up exam in three categories of candidates who missed their opportunity within scheduled time.
The body revealed that, it will also resume the release of the results of the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Board (UTME) staring from Tuesday, May 2, 2023.
JAMB made this known during its emergency management meeting over the weekend.
According to its statement in the minutes, the board revealed reason for the delay in the release of results as to ensure that all necessary screenings were concluded.
It said, “The Board would be releasing the results of candidates, who have taken the examination so far on Tuesday, 2nd May, 2023. The Board had delayed the release to ensure that all necessary screening are concluded besides ensuring that the mean and standard deviation are reasonably obtained before releasing these results.
However, JAMB also plans to conduct a mop-up exam for three categories of candidates who could not sit for the exam within their scheduled time.
The exam board also stated that the ongoing 2023 UTME on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, will end on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 and at about 1.6 million candidates actually sat for the exam.
