The Oba Yinusa Oladele Adekoya, Dagburewe of Idowa in Odogbolu, Ogun State, is dead.
According to the information, the Late Oba Adekoya who is one of the most powerful kings in Ijebuland, second-in-command to the Awujale of Ijebu land, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona Ogbagba II passed away on Sunday at the age of 87.
In a statement while reacting to his demise, Governor Abiodun expressed, “With deep sense of loss, we mourn the passing of our beloved Royal Father, Alayeluwa, Oba Yinusa Oladele Adekoya, the Dagburewa of Idowa.
“This is a sad development that touches my heart as I have always shared a deep and robust relationship with the late traditional ruler whose contributions to humanity cannot be underestimated, especially in Idowa and Ijebuland as a whole.
“We express our heartfelt condolences to the entire family and the good people of Idowa, and pray God grants them the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.”
