It has been confirmed that one with God has majority, following the outcome of the present polls results which indicates that power is changing hands and parties like Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) loosing grip of its hold, the Idjerhe Obidient family has decided to join hands and faith with the only man who has trusted his hope in the Almighty God when others brag of their political powers.
This great declaration took place today been Tuesday 28th February, 2023 at Atiwor-Jesse Town, Idjerhe kingdom, Ethiope east local government area of Delta state as the month will surely end the usual selective government of the ruling party and power must surely change hands.
The governorship candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON in his style accompanied by the Deputy Governor of Social Democratic Party, Chief Mrs. Rosemary Isioma Oshilim, the Campaign Council, SDP faithfuls and others has storm the Idjerhe kingdom in Ethiope east Local government area of Delta State.
The Peter Obi supporters under the umbrella body of Idjere OBIDIENT family, which has its group structure made up of youths leaders, Chairmen, Women leaders of various Obi support networks have assured massive votes on 11th March just to ensure the Social Democratic Party (SDP) gubernatorial candidate, takes over from the incumbent party as the next Governor of Delta state
In conjuction with the group the leader, Collins Atoborherhiru, the Coordinator, Idjerhe OBIDIENT Family went further to make some powerful remarks as a seal to their vow of ensuring victory for any candidate of their choice which is Gbagi.
He expressed, “Ahead of the governorship election that is coming up in March 11th 2023, as you all know, we members of Labour Party and OBIDIENTS, have a governorship candidate but our major focus and aim, is for Peter Obi and we have delivered on that
“I want to use this opportunity to call on all OBIDIENTS in Idjerhe, Ethiope west and Delta State in general, to support the SDP candidate in the coming election.
“We are not doing this to seek for funds or any favour but it is turn of Delta Central, Urhobo and our candidate of Labour Party, although he has not come to address us to tell us his place of origin.
“Please, I want to call on our people because on Saturday here, we showed our capacity and I believe that majority of us here are in support of this movement.
“We will support him, we will vote for him, we will deliver him in our capacity”, stressing that the group is after character, integrity, capacity and someone with commitment to the job.
At the end, the leader of Jesse family, Oghenesume Ogedegbe appreciated OBIDIENT family and urge them all to vote for Gbagi, SDP who has shown intelligence, distinguished character and capacity in all ramifications both in private and public sectors.
He concluded, “Do you know why I encourage you to vote for Gbagi? It is because this man is an industrialist, he is an employer of labour, a philanthropist, he is a man who have served in government but has no criminal records and he is a man that we can trust”.
