SOLUDO ASKS NNEWI TO MOBILIZE VOTES FOR APGA CANDIDATES, SET TO RESTORE THE GLORY OF THE CITY

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo has given the assurance to restore the city of Nnewi back to its rightful glory
Governor Soludo was speaking during the Nnewi North APGA Campaign Rally held at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Ultra Modern Electrical/Electronics Market, Nnewi.
The Governor who described Nnewi as the commercial hub in the South East and homeland of APGA leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, urged the people to vote for all APGA candidates in Nnewi division to restore the City’s pride of place.
He revealed that he had toured the state, inspecting and flagging off ongoing road projects.
Governor Soludo pledged to return to Nnewi North to inspect Okpuno Eze to Nnewi Hotel Road and Isaho to Teaching Hospital Road, both of which are currently under construction and also promised to rebuild Bank Road in Nnewi, which is dilapidated and has cost untold hardship for the people
Midway into the ceremony, Governor Soludo who is the leader of the party handed over the APGA Flag to the party’s senatorial candidate for Anambra South, Hon. Chris Azubogo.
The Governor recalled that during the APGA National Rally in Awka, all APGA candidates were given flags except those who had court cases.
He however, emphasized that the election will take place regardless of the political permutations which some people are projecting
Recieving the Governor earlier, the Transition Committee Chairman for Nnewi North, Engr. Chris Obiorah, urged the people to support all APGA candidates running for office.
The Anambra State Commissioner for Industry, Hon. Obinna Ngonadi, expressed optimsm that the people of Nnewi will support all APGA candidates.
The member representing Nnewi North at the State House of Assembly, Hon. Smart Okafor, praised the Governor for the ongoing road projects in Nnewi and the roads that are being built, pledging support to the Governor, especially in the areas of legislation.
Also speaking, the APGA Candidate for Anambra South Senatorial District, Hon. Chris Azubogu, APGA Candidate for Nnewi North Constituency, Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Peter Nwosu and APGA Candidate, Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency, Hon. Uchenna Elodimmuo all said that APGA is more than a party but a movement.
They expressed full confidence that the party will coast to victory in the elections coming up in few days time.
The Commissioner for Environment, Engr. Felix Odimegwu, Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, Former Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Prince Chukwudi Orizu, Former Managing Director, Anambra State Advertisement Agency, Sir Jude Emecheta, Chief of Protocol to the Governor, Mr. Chinedu Nwoye, APGA Nnewi North Ward Chairmen, APGA Nnewi North Party Executives, Nnewi Traditional Rulers among others attended the rally.
