The Delta state gubernatorial candidate of Social Democratic Party SDP, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON in the company of his amiable wife, Mrs. Sybil Gbagi JCA has revealed to thousands of Catholic Women Organization of Delta state part of his strategic plan to uplift the face of Delta state as soon as he takes over from Gov. Okowa.
The industralist went further to enlighten the Catholic Women to pass the message across to the entire Christian women that government providing jobs is not actually a favour to Deltans especially women but the duty of a proper and sensible government to ensure employment is provided to the citizens especially women and youths in Delta state.
He went further to explain that, “For all of us who went to primary school, church, there is what they call capacity, you fit bring something wey this mama go dey earn dollars in her house but if you no know, you no know am”.
“You fit carry one of our mama here put for where crude oil dey, if you no know, you no know”.
That it is a shame, this present government has spent billions of Naira on bribing cases without any tangible investment or infrastructure that would have tackled the issue of poverty, unemployment and security in the state.
But the issue of government acting as if it is favour to provide jobs to its citizens should not play a part in the governance of this great state as they owe it as a debt to citizens to deliver good governance with diligence and transparency without looting or been worshipped in any form because they are meant to serve the citizens of Delta state not the other way round.
Gbagi condems this Okowa government as been nonchalant, ignorant and has created the environment for vagabonism which has pushed the youths to the street to be candidates of yahoo yahoo and has made the reverse to become the case of “Mama feeding pikin at 40 instead of pikin feeding mama” and that he considers as an abysmal error which is tantamount to total failure and destruction of the future of the entire Delta state.
At the end, Gbagi encouraged the women especially the Catholic Women Organization of Delta state to go back to the drawing board and play their main role as women, mothers because it is natural that, “if you train one woman it is equal to many generations” he said.
