United Kingdom chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council has said it will sensitise Nigerians in UK to encourage their families back home to vote Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in 2023 presidential elections.

It said it would do so through rallies across UK cities, especially those with huge Nigerian population.

According to UK Office for National Statistics, there were 215,000 Nigerian-born residents as of 2019.

The council spoke at the weekend when it visited the Nigerian High Commissioner in UK, Amb. Sarafa Isola, to build enduring relationship with the commission.

On the delegation were APC UK Chairman, Tunde Doherty, Director-General of APC UK Campaign Council, Muyiwa Adesua, among others.

Doherty said the visit was to intimate the envoy of the council’s plans ahead of the elections, as well as its achievements.

“… We had robust discussions with Ambassador Tunji Isola, who urged our members to collaborate and network to build a formidable group in the diaspora,” Doherty said.

Isola, who hailed the council’s gesture, urged members to see themselves as a team.

“Members should focus more on the need to be united. That is the way to achieve the dream in the elections”.

The Publicity Secretary, Tunde Ajisola, presented the official website of APC UK Campaign Council to Isola, saying the council would present the website to the public at a later date.

Youth leader, Sekinat Adams, gave a trophy to Isola, while Doherty presented campaign souvenirs, including caps, and T-shirts to the envoy.
