The massive turnout Wednesday at the Social Democratic Party (SDP) National Convention at the International Conference Center, Abuja and the calibre of participants, including Delta state governorship candidate, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, indicates strong signs of a formidable force poised for upsets come 2023 as the party challenges the status quo in determination to seize power from ruling APC and the PDP in Nigeria.
At the end of proceedings on the seamless Presidential Primary, 54-year-old Prince Adewole Adebayo, lawyer and founder of KAFTAN Television emerged flag bearer, assuring that his emergence indicates that it was the turn of Nigerian masses to take over power in 2023.
Like Adebayo, there is joy in the minds of the electorate in Delta state that Olorogun Gbagi’s emergence as the the governorship flag bearer signals an end to the era of PDP retrogressive governance that has arrested development in a state so blessed with enormous resources.
Gbagi in thumbs up to the national leaders of the SDP and felicitation with the presidential candidate, expressed much assurance on victory for the party at both the presidential and state level elections come 2023.
