The Adamawa State Government has commended the Fidelity Bank Plc for its donation of 1,000 pieces of bed sheets and pillows for use in Yola’s specialist hospital as a support towards healthcare delivery.
The Adamawa state Commissioner of Health, Prof. Isa Abdullahi, said this on Wednesday, while he received these items in Yola, adding that the donation of these items to the health facility was part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility.
He said, “This donation of 1,000 pieces of bed sheets, pillow cases and pillows for use in the 500 capacity bed state specialist hospital in Yola represents efforts targeted towards delivery of accessible, affordable and qualitative health care service to every citizen. This is a task that government on its own cannot be left to shoulder alone.
“All over the world corporate bodies, have had to make assistance to their populace in the provision of health care delivery. Fidelity Bank, as far as we know, is the first corporate organisation, that is giving us this kind of assistance as part of its corporate social responsibility. On behalf of the state Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, we appreciate your effort and assistance.”
