Members of Boko Haram ’s Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) faction on Sunday night infiltrated Gamboru-Ngala in Borno State, north-eastern Nigeria.
‘Politics Nigeria’ learnt that the terrorists launched an offensive attack at the military base in Gamboru Central Primary School, dislodged men of the Nigerian Army (NA) and proceeded to burn down the military base.

It is believed that this latest attack on security facilities by ISWAP insurgents is a reprisal to the devastating offensive that led to the killing of many commanders and fighters in Lake Chad Basin (LCB) and Sambisa forest.
It was gathered that the terrorists fired explosives into Ngala town which also resulted to the killing of one civilian while six persons were injured.
Full details are still sketchy on aftermath assessment.
