Suspended head of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Intelligence Response Team (IRT), DCP Abba Kyari has been declared wanted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over alleged drug trafficking.
NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi who addressed newsmen at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja on Monday February 14, said they took the decision of declaring the suspended police officer wanted after all efforts to get him honour formal invitations for his interrogation failed.
Kyari is accused of taking out 15kg from 25kg of cocaine which him and his team intercepted after arresting some traffickers that came into the country from Ethiopia. He is also being accused of offering to give an NDLEA officer a cut from sale of the cocaine.
