2022: Governor Sule Presents N109.8bn Budget To Nasarawa Assembly

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has presented the 2022 budget estimate of N109,801, 524,879.49 billion to the State House of Assembly for consideration and approval.

Speaking while presenting the budget estimate on Thursday in Lafia, Governor Sule explained that the budget was aimed at completing all ongoing projects across the state and appealed for its speedy passage.

He said the education sector of the state got a total of N31.83 billion which is the highest in the 2022 budget tagged ‘Budget of Sustainable Transformation’.

“I hereby present the 2022 appropriation bill of N109,801,524,879.49 billion to you for your consideration and approval.

“Recurrent expenditure is N70,891, 582,458.57 billion representing 64.56 % while Capital expenditure stands at N38,909, 942,420.92 billion representing 35.44%,

“The sectoral breakdown of the budget include administrative sector, Government House at the sum of N8.94 billion, SSG office at N9.40 billion, Legislative at N1.76 billion, pension and gratuity at N4.8 billion, Works, Housing and Transport at 14.05 billion, Environment at N1.64 billion, Finance at N8.98 billion, Health at N11.85 billion, among others,” he said.

He assured the State Assembly of full implementation of the budget if finally passed into law for the overall development of the state while assuring that his administration’s policy would continue to be anchored on transparency, accountability and prudence.
