Prince Neville Uchendu, (Mayor of Atlanta), the Deputy Director-General Diaspora Outreach/ Anambra Demands Soludo (ADS) 2nd Vice Chairman has commended the judiciary on the recent victory of Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

It will be recalled that a suit seeking to disqualify Prof Soludo, Governor-elect of Anambra State over an alleged error in his governorship form was dismissed as frivolous and lacking in merit by the presiding judge.

While ruling on the matter, His Lordship, Hon Justice Taiwo Oladipupo Taiwo said the matter was frivolous and that it lacked merit and amounted to unnecessary waste of time of court and the defendants.

Reacting on the ruling on ABS radio programme monitored in Awka, Capital of Anambra State, Prince Neville Uchendu said the ruling was commendable and has further reassured confidence in the people that the judiciary is the last hope of the common man.

Prince Uchendu further said with Soludo as Governor, Anambra Diasporan will be happy and willing to return to their homeland to help in developing it.

He eulogized Soludo as a man without blemishes who has all the training and experience required to take Anambra State to a greater level.

Analyzing the strength of Soludo further, he said Soludo distinguished himself as a former CBN Governor who helped in managing the nation’s resources with remarkable success, stressing that he will replicate the same feat in Anambra State as Governor.

He commended President Muhammadu Buhari for creating a level playing ground for all the candidates during the election. He opined that this fatherly disposition of the president also brought about the peaceful and orderly conduct of the election which has been adjudged as one of the freest, fairest and most credible elections in recent times.

The Mayor of Atlanta also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), especially for deploying the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, (BVAS), which he said tremendously helped in curbing rigging and other electoral malpractices. He also commended the security agencies for the great job they did culminating to the success of the election and IPOB for cancelling the sit-at-home order.

He commended Governor Willie Obiano for his statesmanship and examplary leadership role he played during the election and the various infrastructural edifices dotting the entire landscape of the state which he has put in place.

Prince Uchendu said with the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport, Diasporan can land straight into Anambra without hassles, adding that it is a thing of joy when one lands directly into his homeland.

Other participants who called via the telephone to contribute to the radio programme also eulogized Soludo as the right man for the governorship job. All the participants also praised the way and manner the governorship election was conducted, saying it was peaceful, orderly and credible.
